Today is International Women's Day.  Here at CrossFit Genius we like to celebrate the accomplishments of strong women (and men) everyday.  But since, the rest of the world is joining us today, we thought we would reprise a classic post from Jon Gilson of Again Faster.  Have you hugged a strong woman today?

If I were feeling a little more lawless, I’d gather all the copies of Cosmo and Seventeen, douse them in kerosene, and strike a match.  I’d throw in reams of print ads from Calvin Klein and watch with delight as Kate Moss’ stick-thin image was reduced to carbon.  I’d add copies of Shape and Runner’s World until the flames reached toward the heavens, and then I’d crank call the editorial desk at Muscle and Fitness until they stopped publishing pictures of women on steroids.

Tom is riding the 67 mile route of the Continental Airlines Cycling Classic this weekend.  Why, we don't know, but there it is. Something about "because I can."  He'll have a great time and after losing 23 pounds and increasing his strength and staima - thanks to his CrossFit Genius training - he's well prepared. Go, Tom!

The Fastenal #60 will be next door at  Fastenal on Thursday March 4th from 11 - 1. Come by and support Ben and his crew, see the car and grab some food. There'll be DeWalt product demos, a race simulator and a big sale at the store, too.

 Intimidating, eh?Will's first grappling tournament as a blue belt will take place this weekend in Atlanta.

Will is competing in two divisions: Adult Men’s Welterweight (160-169.9lbs) Blue Belt Gi and Adult Men’s Welterweight Intermediate No-Gi. He's been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Montgomery at BJJ Revolution out of Chung’s Tae Kwon Do Academy and at Auburn MMA in Opelika for about a year and a half.
